SKK Migas stated that it is ready to help 10 work areas (WK), which have entered the POD (Plan of Development) stage but have stalled, to resume operations.
"If the problem is financial, come on, we will look for a bona fide investor ," said Deputy for Exploration, Development, and Management of SKK Migas Work Areas Rikky Rahmat Firdaus when met after the closing of the IPA Convention & Exhibition, Tangerang, Banten, quoted on Friday.
He gave an example that SKK Migas will hold a sponsor meeting that brings together the Cooperation Contract Contractors (KKKS) with prospective sponsors. SKK Migas, he said, will be a bridge and a 'referee' in the meeting.
Then, Rikky continued, if KKKS needs a loan, SKK Migas will be a facilitator to bring together KKKS with lenders or state banks.
"These are the things that SKK Migas will implement for all WKs," said Rikky.
The 10 WK that are stalled are mostly located offshore .
The 10 WKs that have the status of idle assets have an investment potential of 1.8 billion US dollars, with an estimated production capacity of 51.35 million barrels of oil or 31,300 barrels per day.
In addition, there is also a potential of 600 BCF of gas. The operation of the 10 WKs is also estimated to absorb 20 thousand workers.
Rikky was reluctant to mention the WK or KKKS names directly to maintain the investment climate. However, he revealed that the WKs are located in East Kalimantan, to the Riau Islands.
