Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati inaugurated Bimo Wijayanto as Director General of Taxes replacing Suryo Utomo, and Djaka Budhi Utama as Director General of Customs and Excise replacing Askolani.
This inauguration is part of the inauguration of 22 echelon I officials within the Ministry of Finance.
"Today, Friday, May 2025, I hereby officially inaugurate my brothers and sisters in new positions within the Ministry of Finance," said Sri Mulyani at the Inauguration of Echelon I Officials of the Ministry of Finance at the Djuanda I Building, Ministry of Finance, Jakarta, Friday.
The new Director General of Taxes, Bimo Wijayanto, previously served as Assistant Deputy for Strategic Investment at the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, and was also a Principal Expert at the Presidential Staff Office.
In the Ministry of Finance, Bimo is known as a Senior Analyst who played a major role in the formation of the Center for Tax Analysis (CTA).
Meanwhile, the new Director General of Customs and Excise, Djaka Budi Utama, has a background as a retired TNI Lieutenant General who previously served as Main Secretary at the State Intelligence Agency (BIN).
On that occasion, Sri Mulyani inaugurated a total of 22 echelon I officials of the Ministry of Finance.
