The Lebanese Ministry of Health reported the deaths of two Syrians and a Lebanese national in an Israeli drone strike on a car in the town of Mays al-Jabal in the Marjayoun district.
Earlier today, the Lebanese National News Agency reported: "An enemy drone launched an airstrike on a pickup truck collecting scrap metal between the towns of Mays al-Jabal and Blida, killing a Lebanese citizen and two Syrians."
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that "Lebanese Civil Defense member Osama Farhat was martyred as a result of the second Israeli attack in the vicinity of Mays al-Jabal" in the Marjayoun district of Nabatieh Governorate.
The death of the civil defense member brings the death toll in Lebanon on Thursday from Israeli airstrikes to four, including two Syrians.
Israeli artillery shelling also targeted the outskirts of the town of Shebaa in the Hasbaya district of Nabatieh Governorate (south), with two shells, according to the agency.
On October 8, 2023, Israel launched an attack on Lebanon, which escalated into a full-scale war on September 23, 2024, resulting in more than 4,000 deaths and approximately 17,000 injuries, in addition to the displacement of approximately 1.4 million people.
Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on November 27, Tel Aviv has committed at least 2,770 violations, leaving at least 199 dead and 486 wounded, according to an Anadolu Agency tally based on official data as of Thursday.
Israel has reneged on its commitment to complete its withdrawal from southern Lebanon by February 18, contrary to the agreement. Instead, it has implemented a partial withdrawal and continues to occupy five major Lebanese hills, within the areas it occupied during the last war.
For decades, Israel has occupied territories in Lebanon, Palestine, and Syria, and refuses to withdraw from them and establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital, along the pre-1967 borders.
