TEKNOFEST is the largest festival of its kind in the world, organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation in cooperation with the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, and sponsored by the Presidency of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
The festival, which runs until May 4, features a variety of events, including technology competitions, air shows, concerts, panel discussions, and other youth-focused activities.
Technology competitions are held across 13 different categories within six main competitions, with the participation of more than 47,000 contestants from 22 countries, as hundreds of young people strive to realize their ambitions in the world of innovation.
The competition has allocated prizes worth 2.5 million Turkish liras (approximately $65,000), in addition to support opportunities and rewards worth 3 million liras (approximately $79,000) for the winning projects.
The festival will feature a distinguished display of Turkish military aircraft and drone technology, including the Bayraktar TB3 and the Bayraktar Kızılma combat drone. It will also feature air shows by the Turkish Stars and Solu Türk teams, along with the Hurgöş drone, the Gökbey and Atak helicopters, and the Aksungur, Bayraktar TB2, Bayraktar Akıncı, and Anka drones, all of which are locally produced.
It's worth noting that Teknofest was first held in 2018 and has since become a prominent platform for showcasing Türkiye's latest developments in the technology and defense industries.
