According to Palestinian activists, the occupation army demolished 25 facilities in the village of Al-Dabaa in the Masafer Yatta area in the southern West Bank, a house in the town of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah (central), and 8 facilities in the village of Al-Deir in the Tubas Governorate and the Jordan Valley in the northern West Bank.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli bulldozers began demolishing several multi-story homes in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood of Nour Shams camp at noon.
On Thursday, the Israeli occupation army announced its intention to demolish 106 Palestinian buildings in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps. The announcement was accompanied by maps showing the targeted homes in red, and a copy was delivered to the relevant Palestinian authorities.
Osama Makhamreh, an activist fighting Israeli settlements in the southern West Bank, said that an Israeli force, accompanied by bulldozers and other equipment, stormed the village of Al-Daba' and began demolishing 25 homes, agricultural facilities, and water wells.
Makhamreh described the situation in the village as a "new Nakba," adding, "Only two houses and a school remain in the village. The village was wiped out, leaving the residents in the open."
He pointed out that the Israeli authorities are seeking to undermine the residents' resilience and force them to leave under the pretext of building in Area C.
The Oslo II Accords (1995) classified the West Bank into three areas: “A” under full Palestinian control; “B” under Israeli security control and Palestinian civil and administrative control; and “C” under Israeli civil, administrative and security control. The latter area is estimated at approximately 60% of the West Bank’s area.
He continued: "The goal is to control the land for the benefit of settlement projects."
In the village of al-Deir in the northern West Bank, Israeli bulldozers demolished eight structures, including a home and sheep pens, under the same pretext, according to Mutaz Basharat, the settlement affairs official in the Tubas Governorate. He explained that the occupation army stormed the village with demolition machinery and began a large-scale demolition operation.
He explained that the village is inhabited by approximately 48 Palestinians, and all of its homes are under threat of demolition on the grounds of being built without a permit.
In the town of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, the Israeli occupation army demolished a house under the same pretext, according to eyewitnesses. Witnesses said that Israeli bulldozers demolished the home of Imad Abu Aliya. They said that the town was attacked by settlers after the Israeli occupation army withdrew, sparking clashes with residents.
152 buildings and homes demolished within a month
Earlier on Monday, the Palestine Liberation Organization's Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission announced that the Israeli occupation army had demolished 152 Palestinian structures and homes in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem, during April.
Meanwhile, the Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, quoted local sources as saying that occupation forces stormed the city of Qalqilya from its eastern entrance and deployed in the eastern area known as "Sufin," without any arrests being reported.
On Monday, occupation forces deployed in the streets of Tulkarm, and were stationed around Gamal Abdel Nasser Square amid a significant military alert.
WAFA reported that the occupation forces' vehicles obstructed the movement of vehicles as they drove against traffic in the city's streets, specifically on Nablus Street, the Martyr Thabet Thabet Roundabout, the vegetable market, Gamal Abdel Nasser Square, and Al-Maslakh Street in the eastern neighborhood.
She added that occupation soldiers pursued a number of young men in the city center and fired sound bombs at them, causing panic among residents, especially given the overcrowding in the city at this time. They also arrested Yousef Shteiwi while he was in the vicinity of Gamal Abdel Nasser Square.
In parallel with the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the West Bank, resulting in the deaths of more than 960 Palestinians, the injury of nearly 7,000 others, and the arrest of 16,400 people, according to Palestinian data.
