On its X account, the agency said: "The arrival of President Ahmed al-Sharaa and his accompanying delegation to the French capital, Paris."
President al-Shara' is visiting France to discuss reconstruction and Israel's repeated attacks on Syria with Macron.
On Tuesday evening, SANA quoted an unnamed source at the Ministry of Information as saying, "Al-Sharaa will hold talks with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, covering a number of bilateral and regional issues."
He added, "The issue of reconstruction and prospects for economic cooperation and development in Syria will be at the forefront of the discussions, particularly in the areas of energy and aviation."
The source explained that "the discussions also cover important issues, most notably the security challenges facing the new Syrian government, repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian sovereignty, and relations with neighboring countries, especially Lebanon."
The source said, "President Sharaa's official visit is of great importance as it is the first to a European country since the fall of the former regime (headed by Bashar al-Assad), which will contribute to developing the state's foreign relations and restoring its standing."
He added, "The visit is part of the development of relations between the two countries, and was preceded by several phone calls between the two presidents, during which they discussed a number of important common issues."
On Tuesday, the French Elysee Palace (presidency) announced that Al-Shara will arrive in Paris on Wednesday.
He added that Macron will receive Sharaa in Paris and announce his support for building "a new, free, and stable Syria that respects all components of its people."
On February 5, Macron congratulated Sharaa on assuming his post and invited him to visit France.
Sharia meets "Caesar"
On the sidelines of his visit to France, Sharaa met in the French capital, Paris, with First Aide Farid al-Madhan, nicknamed "Caesar," a witness to the crimes of ousted regime leader Bashar al-Assad.
The Syrian Presidency stated that "President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad al-Shara, and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Asaad al-Shibani, met with Farid al-Madhan, known as Caesar, on the sidelines of their visit to France."
Earlier on Wednesday, Sharaa arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, his first visit to a European country, at the invitation of his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron.
"Caesar" first revealed his identity last February, as First Lieutenant Farid Al-Madhan, head of the Forensic Evidence Department of the Military Police in Damascus.
In an interview with the Qatari Al Jazeera channel, he recounted the details of how leaked documents revealed to the world crimes of torture and murder in the prisons of the Assad regime, which was overthrown by the Syrian opposition on December 8.
The mentally ill employee, who defected from the regime, published photos of approximately 11,000 bodies of people killed under torture between May 2011 and August 2013, revealing the torture methods to which detainees were subjected in the prisons of the dissolved Ba'ath regime.
In his public testimony last February, the man from Daraa in southern Syria said that "orders to film and document the crimes of Bashar al-Assad's regime come from the highest levels of power to ensure that the killings are actually being carried out."
On December 11, 2019, the US Congress, both the Senate and the House of Representatives, passed the Caesar Act to punish the Syrian regime for war crimes committed against civilians.
On December 8, 2024, Syrian factions took control of the capital, Damascus, and other cities, ending 61 years of brutal Baath Party rule and 53 years of Assad family control.
