Gresini Racing rider Fermin Aldeguer is increasingly confident about competing in MotoGP 2025 after successfully reaching the podium for the first time in the main race of MotoGP France 2025 at the Le Mans Circuit, last weekend.
Aldeguer performed impressively in wet conditions and secured a third-place finish behind Johann Zarco and Marc Marquez. This achievement is an important momentum for the young Spanish rider to face the next series in the British MotoGP at the Silverstone Circuit which will be held on May 25.
"I didn't expect to perform this well in wet conditions. I don't have much experience, but I learn quickly, especially from other more experienced riders," Aldeguer said in a written statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday.
Last weekend, Aldeguer performed impressively in wet track conditions. He who started the race from the middle position managed to overtake several senior riders and finished third behind Johann Zarco (Castrol Honda LCR) and Marc Marquez (Ducati Lenovo Team) in second place. The day before, he also secured the third podium in the Sprint Race.
"I knew fourth was good enough, but the podium felt so close. I kept believing and finally I got there. It was an incredible weekend," he said.
