FM Zacky Dhia Ulhaq replaced CM Fabian Glen Mariano from the top of the open category standings of the 2025 JAPFA FIDE Rated chess tournament at the Multipurpose Building, Senayan.
In an official statement from the Indonesian Chess Association (PB Percasi) on Tuesday, Zacky, who defeated Fabian Glen Mariano in the seventh round, collected 6 points or 0.5 points above Fabian.
In the challenger category, McLung Gunawan Ray now leads the standings together with Aris TLS with 6.5 points.
McLung, who faced Sugianto Agus in the seventh round, played without any pressure to get a point.
PB Percasi also collaborates with JAPFA to hold general training activities in the JAPFA Chess Club.
"JAPFA Chess Club, which is the outlet of the JAPFA for Kids program, is aimed at developing Indonesia's future chess players," said VP-Head of Social Investment JAPFA R. Artsanti.
