The application provider ensures that the application service will continue to operate normally on May 20, 2025, despite demonstrations from some online motorcycle taxi (ojol) drivers who expressed their aspirations.
Grab Indonesia's Chief of Public Affairs Tirza R. Munusamy said that all communication channels remain open for driver partners, and service operations on that date will run as usual without any significant changes from a technical perspective.
"For tomorrow (ojol demonstration on May 20, 2025), just like the communication channel is always open for our driver partners to Grab. For tomorrow, Grab's specific business operations will continue as usual, there are no changes," he said in a meeting with Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi.
Tirza conveyed this when asked for his response regarding the impact of the application business on the plan of around 500 thousand online motorcycle taxi drivers to turn off the application and hold simultaneous demonstrations.
