Microsoft announced a global price increase for its Xbox gaming consoles starting August 1, 2026, and the discontinuation of sales of the 2TB Xbox variant.
Technology that starting August 1, 2026, the price of the Xbox Series S 512GB, which was previously 399 US dollars (approximately Rp. 7.1 million), will increase to 499 US dollars.
The price of the Xbox Series S 1TB will reportedly increase from US$449 (approximately Rp8.9 million) to US$599 (approximately Rp10.7 million) and the Xbox Series X Digital 1TB will increase from US$599 (approximately Rp10.7 million) to US$750
The price of the Xbox Series X 1TB Disc will increase from US$649 to US$800.
The price increase for Xbox Series devices ranges from US$100 to US$151, or around Rp1.7 million to Rp2.7 million per unit based on the current exchange rate.
The planned price hike for the device was announced less than a year after Microsoft raised Xbox prices in the United States in October 2025.
The price increase for the device was driven by an increase in the cost of the console's memory and storage components, which reached 2.5 times the previous level.
Microsoft estimates the price of these components could double by the fall of 2027.
