German League club Bayer Leverkusen has officially appointed Erik ten Hag as its new coach to replace Xabi Alonso who moved to manage Real Madrid this summer.
"With Erik ten Hag, we are bringing in an experienced coach with great success on the pitch. The six titles he won at Ajax are extraordinary," said Bayer Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes, as quoted from the club's official website, Tuesday.
"With three league titles and two domestic cup wins, he and Ajax dominated Dutch football from 2018 to 2022. And Erik showed his quality as a coach with his subsequent success at Manchester United in difficult circumstances," he continued.
