Persipura Jayapura has officially appointed Owen Rahadian as team manager and one of the directors at PT Persipura Jayapura.
This appointment was announced by Persipura General Chairman Benhur Tomi Mano.
"Welcome to Mr. Owen Rahadian at Persipura. He will be the team manager and one of the directors," said Benhur, quoted from a written statement received.
Owen's presence is expected to restore Persipura's glory and revive the passion for football in Papua.
Owen previously successfully led PSBS Biak to win League 2 2023/2024 and promotion to League 1.
He now has a similar task at Persipura, which will compete in League 2 in the 2025/2026 season.
According to Owen, building a club cannot be done instantly and emphasized the importance of strong foundations for the long term.
