Beckham Putra is ready to show his best abilities in the Indonesian national team

Persib Bandung midfielder Beckham Putra Nugraha expressed his readiness to give his best after receiving a call from coach Patrick Kluivert to join the Indonesian national team's training camp in Bali in preparation for the continuation of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.

"Hopefully I can enter the Indonesian National Team squad. It's not ambitious, with this call I just want to answer the trust that the coach has given me," said Beckham in a statement received in Bandung, Tuesday.

The 22-year-old player said that this call-up was a special moment for him, because this was the first time he had been called up to strengthen the senior national team.

Previously, he was listed as part of the U-22 national team squad that successfully won the gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games in Cambodia.

"Hopefully the national team can advance to the next round, achieve the best achievements. I can also learn from other players in the national team, because many play in foreign leagues too. So this is a very valuable moment for me," he said.

The national team's training camp will take place from May 26 to June 1 as part of preparations for two important matches in Group C.

Indonesia is currently competing to win a ticket to the next round in the big mission towards the 2026 World Cup.

The Garuda squad is scheduled to host China at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta on June 5, before visiting Japan's headquarters on June 10 in the final match of the third round.
