Bologna, officially extended the contract of coach Vincenzo Italiano until June 2027 following the club's success in winning the Italian Cup this season.
Italiano, who joined last summer, immediately made history by presenting Bologna with their first trophy since 1974. In the Italian Cup final, the Rossoblù defeated AC Milan with a narrow score of 1-0.
"I am happy to continue this journey. There are still many interesting competitions that we will participate in and targets that we want to achieve together," Italiano was quoted as saying on Bologna's official website, Thursday.
Club director Claudio Fenici said the decision was in line with Bologna's long-term plans.
