Around 71 percent of cybersecurity professionals from Asia Pacific consider Cyber Immunity as an effective strategy to reduce the ability of cybercriminals to penetrate networks and compromise systems according to the latest research by Kaspersky.
Kaspersky in its press release on Tuesday stated that these findings show the increasing demand for developing secure by system systems instead of just relying on additional cybersecurity solutions.
Cyber Immunity was originally defined by Kaspersky as the concept of IT and OT systems that are secure by design, due to certain development methodologies and architectural requirements, and have built-in resistance to cyberattacks, thereby minimizing the costs associated with external security solutions.
Kaspersky conducted a survey of 850 cybersecurity professionals from Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Türkiye and Africa, Europe, America, and Russia.
One of the focuses of the research was to find out how familiar respondents were with the term Cyber Immunity and how they assessed its potential effectiveness in providing protection against cyber threats.
Based on the research results, as many as 85 percent of global respondents understand this term and its true meaning.
