Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto expressed their readiness to restore the glory of the Red and White, especially the men's doubles at the BWF World Tour Super 1000 Indonesia Open 2025 at the Istora Gelora Bung Karno, Senayan on June 3-8.
"When talking about targets, all players definitely want the best, which is to be the champion. Rian and I at the Indonesia Open were at best only reaching the semifinals, so there is a personal target to be able to achieve maximum results even though it is not easy," said Fajar at the PBSI Cipayung National Training Center.
Fajar/Rian have never felt the highest podium in the prestigious tournament. Their best achievement was the semifinals in the 2017 edition (when it was labeled Super Series Premier) and 2018 (Super 1,000).
In 2018, their progress was stopped in the quarter-finals after losing to Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo with a score of 21-13, 21-10.
