Technology company Google will allow children to access the Gemini AI application on Android devices.
According to a report by The New York Times quoted in The Verge on Saturday (3/5), Google via email has informed parents who use Family Link parental controls that their children will soon be able to access the Gemini AI application on monitored Android devices.
Children under 13 will be able to activate and access Gemini on their own through Google Family Link, which is designed to allow parents to monitor their children’s device usage, set limits on device use, and protect children from harmful content.
The company says kids will be able to use Gemini to do things like help with homework or read stories.
The company also stated that children's data will not be used to train artificial intelligence models.
