The Ministry of Communication and Digital has temporarily frozen the registration certificates of electronic system providers Worldcoin and WorldID following public reports of suspicious activities related to these digital services.
"This freezing is a preventive measure to prevent potential risks to the public," said Director General of Digital Space Supervision at the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Alexander Sabar, as quoted in the ministry's press release in Jakarta, Sunday.
Kemkomdigi will summon officials from PT Terang Bulan Abadi and PT Sandina Abadi Nusantara and ask them to provide clarification regarding alleged violations of the provisions for organizing electronic systems in the Worldcoin and WorldID services.
According to the initial search results, PT Terang Bulan Abadi has not been registered as an electronic system organizer and does not have an electronic system organizer registration certificate (TDPSE) as required by laws and regulations.
"Worldcoin services are recorded as using TDPSE in the name of another legal entity, namely PT Sandina Abadi Nusantara," said Alexander.
