In a complex operation, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced the killing and wounding of Israeli soldiers in Rafah a few days ago.

The Brigades said in a post on Telegram that its fighters "lured a mechanized Zionist force consisting of four Hummer jeeps and an Amolisia military truck into a well-planned ambush near Al-Tayaran Street in the Tel al-Sultan neighborhood of Rafah on Friday afternoon, April 25."

She added that "they targeted military vehicles with a number of 'Shawaz' and 'fedayeen' explosive devices, before a number of its members advanced towards the remaining soldiers and clashed with them from point zero, which led to a number of deaths and injuries among the occupation forces."

On April 26, the Israeli occupation army announced the deaths of two officers in battles in Gaza, without clarifying the location or circumstances of their deaths.

According to Israeli military data, 850 soldiers have been killed since October 7, 2023, including 410 since the start of the ground operation in Gaza on the 27th of the same month.

The data includes military casualties in Gaza, southern Lebanon, and the occupied West Bank. However, the Israeli military is accused of concealing the true figures of its casualties, particularly given the disregard for numerous Palestinian factions' announcements of operations and ambushes against its personnel, which it claims resulted in deaths and injuries.

According to numerous international reports, Israel imposes strict military censorship on its media regarding human and material losses resulting from attacks by "Palestinian factions." This is for a variety of reasons, including maintaining Israeli morale.
