Indonesia's chances of qualifying for the 2025 U-16 Asian Cup are getting bigger

Indonesian men's national under-16 basketball team manager Rony Gunawan said the Garuda Muda's chances in the U-16 Asian Cup have increased after defeating Thailand in the Southeast Asian Qualification zone.

The 70-62 victory against Thailand at the Bren Z. Guiao Sports Complex, Pampanga, Philippines, on Monday night made Indonesia score three consecutive wins in qualifying.

"After winning against Thailand, Indonesia is in second place in the standings, so if we win against the Philippines, we will definitely qualify," said Rogun in a written statement.

Accuracy of three-pointers in the first quarter helped Indonesia win the match, while the players managed to maintain their dominance until the third quarter.

Despite winning the game, there is still a lot to improve, as free throws are still a problem.

Indonesia also won against Singapore and Malaysia. Now, Marshall Farez and his colleagues have two matches left against the Philippines on Wednesday and Vietnam on Thursday.
