PT Kereta Api Indonesia/KAI Group projects the volume of Public Service Obligation (PSO) train users or subsidized train services in 2025 to reach 421,391,252 users.
"In 2025, PSO is projected to serve 421,391,252 customers, real evidence of the state's presence in guaranteeing the right to affordable, equitable, and sustainable community mobility," said KAI Vice President of Public Relations Anne Purba in Jakarta, Friday.
He said that the estimated number of PSO train (KA) users in 2025 includes 11,525,805 intercity train customers and 409,865,447 urban train customers.
"This projection shows that more and more people are using trains - affordable, punctual, and supporting the transition to low-emission transportation," he said.
