The Indonesian national team's preparations for the last two matches of the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers against China (June 5) and Japan (June 10) have started early.
A total of 32 players called up by coach Patrick Kluivert began a training camp in Bali, an island whose natural beauty is recognized worldwide.
"I think the atmosphere is really great. The pitch is also really good, and the most important thing for me is the fresh air," Kluivert said, as quoted from the Indonesian National Team YouTube channel on Tuesday.
The training was held for a week at the Bali United Training Center, Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, starting on Monday. A total of 23 players took part in the first training, including names such as Ernando Ari, Nadeo Argawinata, Ole Romeny, Ramadhan Sananta, Rafael Struick, and Shayne Pattynama.
Meanwhile, nine players were absent from the first session, including Justin Hubner, Calvin Verdonk, Beckham Putra, Sandy Walsh, Jay Idzes, Mees Hilgers, Maarten Paes, Eliano Reijnders and Kevin Diks, with the first three already joining the second day of training on Tuesday.
Of the 32 names, five old players who were not called up in March were included in the squad.
