Minister of Home Affairs Muhammad Tito Karnavian in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday, stated the readiness of the Ministry of Home Affairs to support the Indonesian Advocates Congress as a strategic partner, both for the Ministry of Home Affairs at the central level and regional governments .
He emphasized the importance of collaboration with advocates in drafting regulations to resolve various legal issues.
This support is in line with the role of the Ministry of Home Affairs which also produces various regulations that require contributions from advocates. This is because the Ministry of Home Affairs can draft certain laws, either on the initiative of the government or the House of Representatives (DPR).
"We will support this KAI. At the Ministry of Home Affairs, there are many [legal] products," said Tito while giving a speech at the inauguration of the Central Leadership Council of the Indonesian Advocates Congress for the 2025-2030 period.
He said the regulations issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs include Government Regulations, Regulations of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri), and reviews of regional regulations (Perda) throughout Indonesia. "552 regions, which they make regulations continuously, are very dynamic," he added.
