Indonesian Minister of Youth and Sports Dito Ariotedjo expressed his support for Citilink Football Club (CFC) to participate in the 2025 World Airline Friendship Tournament mini soccer championship in Malaysia on July 18–21.
"I support the Citilink Football Club team to participate in the championship. In the future, please communicate with my Special Staff and the Director of LPDUK," said Menpora Dito in a written statement quoted in Jakarta, Wednesday.
The Citilink FC team under the auspices of the Citilink Pilots Association (APIC) is known to be actively participating in various soccer and mini soccer championships between airlines regularly. In a similar event last year, CFC managed to achieve a proud achievement by finishing in third place.
"Thank you, Minister, for receiving us. The CFC team has often participated in inter-airline soccer championships and has been able to produce achievements. For this year, we hope to receive support from the Minister," said Citilink Football Club Team Manager Donal Fariz who visited the Minister's office, 10th floor of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
