Deputy Chairman of the Baseball Directorate of the Indonesian Baseball Softball Association (PB Perbasasi), Leo Agus, said that the 2025 Men's Open Baseball National Championship (Kejurnas) will be a forum to select prospective players for the Indonesian national baseball team.
He explained that the national championship held at the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Baseball Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, from 22-28 May was the third momentum to monitor and collect statistics on players who have the potential to enter the national team.
"After the first one was at the XXI Pre-National Sports Week (PON) in Aceh-North Sumatra, the second was at the XXI PON, and the third was at the national championship," said Leo when interviewed.
