The South Jakarta Metro Police arrested 23 thugs disguised as parking attendants in the Kemang and Blok M areas, South Jakarta.
"We managed to secure 23 thugs disguised as parking attendants and there were two mass organization posts that we managed to secure today," said Head of the Mobile Detective Unit of the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Bima Sakti at the South Jakarta Metro Police, Monday.
Bima added that this security was related to Operation Brantas Jaya in 2025.
It is said that the parking attendant disguised as a thug carried out his actions by pretending to give official parking tickets. The money from the parking was used for personal interests.
"There, evidence was found amounting to Rp1,858,000, where the method of the thugs disguised as parking attendants was that they parked vehicles without clear legality and did not give them to the relevant agency, the related levies," he said.
In addition to the perpetrator, the police also secured evidence such as two machetes, one samurai, one mandau, and three blunt objects in the form of a golf club and wood.
Then, the post in Kemang which is also a stopover for thugs often makes the surrounding community restless.
So the headquarters of the mass organization was dismantled because it also violated the rules because it was standing on the sidewalk.
The demolition also involved officers from the TNI and South Jakarta Satpol PP.
Then, the police received a report that the posts in Pasar Minggu were often used as places to drink alcoholic beverages, so they were eventually dismantled.
"The post disrupts the daily activities of the surrounding community," he said.
