PSSI says women's soccer talent has reached 16,000 athletes

Chairman of the All Indonesia Football Association Erick Thohir said that the development of Indonesian women's football talent over the past two years has produced 16,000 athletes spread across 16 provinces.

"After two years, now we have 16,000 talented athletes who are in grassroots ," said Erick Thohir in a coordination meeting of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives with the Ministry of Youth and Sports which was monitored.

In a meeting discussing the naturalization process of four female soccer athletes from the Netherlands, Erick explained that the journey to build women's soccer in the last two years has not been easy, always facing challenges with the lack of talent and competition.

Nevertheless, he said, PSSI continues to fight and provide evidence by producing a large number of talents.
