PSSI will thoroughly investigate the perpetrators of racist remarks during the third round match of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers when Indonesia hosted Bahrain at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, on March 25, said PSSI Executive Committee (Esco) member Arya Sinulingga.
In the match that ended 1-0 for Indonesia, Arya considered there was an inappropriate incident because there were racist remarks from supporters.
"The incident involving our last opponent involved racist remarks. We are in the process of identifying that," Arya told ANTARA at the Antara Heritage Center (AHC), Central Jakarta, Wednesday.
Arya stated that PSSI is trying to find the perpetrator and if the perpetrator is found, they will be punished.
"It's true, our CCTV doesn't have sound, that's also a weakness. But later we'll match it with the TV broadcast, it will match later. There will definitely be some who we will punish so they can't enter GBK," Arya emphasized.
