Ranieri 'proud of Roma's suffering' on 19-game unbeaten run

AS Roma coach Claudio Ranieri admitted he was proud of his team's "suffering" when they achieved a 1-0 victory over Fiorentina in the 35th week of the Italian League at the Olimpico Stadium.

Artem Dovbyk scored the only goal of the game to make Roma unbeaten in 19 games, including 14 wins.

"So, we played a great game, full of suffering, and that's what makes me most proud. Because when I ask for a performance, Roma always give it," Ranieri was quoted as saying by Football Italia, Monday.

When asked what the key to his success in bringing Roma to a positive start under his guidance was, he told his players to give their best performance so they would not regret it later.

For now, this 19-game unbeaten run has the Giallorossi in fifth place with 63 points, level on points with Juventus in fourth and Lazio in sixth.
