Indonesia and one of the countries in the Caribbean region, Saint Lucia, are strengthening cooperation in coconut processing through a human resources (HR) competency training program aimed at creating new industrial entrepreneurs in the agro sector.
The discussion on strengthening this cooperation was conducted by the Head of the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) Masrokhan, together with the Ambassador of Saint Lucia to Indonesia, Menissa Rambally on May 15 in Jakarta.
Masrokhan in Jakarta, Friday stated, the meeting discussed the potential and opportunities for cooperation in the agro-industrial sector that had been and would be implemented, including training for countries in the Caribbean Islands.
"The training was conducted online from 11 to 12 September 2023 and offline from 23 May to 5 June 2024 in Padang, West Sumatra. The training was attended by nine countries with 19 participants, two of whom were from Saint Lucia," said Masrokhan.
