Agrinas Pangan Nusantara is ready to start its first project in Baturaja.

PT Yodya Karya a state-owned engineering consultant company that has officially transformed into PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (Persero), will start its first project in the Baturaja area, South Sumatra.

President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara (Persero), Joao Angelo De Sousa Mota said that all operational activities are still funded internally by the company, while preparing a long-term business plan before receiving public investment.

"The first project will start in the Baturaja area, on the Palembang-Lampung border, which will be managed carefully and transparently," said Joao in a statement in Jakarta, Friday.

Joao said that Agrinas Pangan Nusantara is not only present as a complement to the sector, but as the main driver of change.

Agrinas has three strategic pillars, namely the food pillar which focuses on modern and sustainable land extensification and intensification, the construction consultant pillar which continues historical expertise in infrastructure and spatial planning, and the construction pillar in the form of developing supporting facilities and infrastructure for the food ecosystem.

"Agrinas Pangan Nusantara as a transformation from a BUMN consultant to a company that answers one of the biggest challenges of this nation, namely national food security and sovereignty," he said.
