Ricky Nelson regrets Persija's final decision

Persija Jakarta's interim coach, Ricky Nelson, regretted his team's finishing when they were held to a 0-0 draw by Malut United, in their final match in the 2024/2025 Liga 1 season at the Jakarta International Stadium, Friday.

The draw saw Persija end the season in seventh place with a total of 51 points.

"It's a shame we couldn't get three points. In the first half we should have scored two or three goals, but it seemed unlucky, because it hit the post," said Ricky in a press conference after the match.

Ricky believes that finishing is still the main weak point that must be fixed next season.

"If the finishing had been better, maybe the results could have changed," he said.

He also said that the absence of Witan Sulaeman due to card accumulation and the injury suffered by Donny Tri Pamungkas also disrupted the game plan that had been prepared for the past two weeks.
