Indonesian national team legend Herry Kiswanto has no problem with Stefano Lilipaly's return to the Garuda team even though the player is already 35 years old.
Herry feels that age is just a number, like him who retired from the national team at the age of almost forty (38 years).
According to him, as long as Lilipaly can still give his best performance for his current club, Borneo FC, then there is no problem with the call-up.
"What is clear is that if Lilipaly is still at his club and still playing, I don't think it's a big problem, with his experience this is also important," Herry told reporters in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Friday.
The legend, who has 40 caps for the national team, believes Lilipaly is an advantage because he is an experienced player.
Lilipaly, he added, is also a footballer who understands the character of Indonesian football very well. Before going to Borneo in 2022, Lilipaly's first club was Persija in 2014.
