Chairman of the PPP DPP Advisory Council M. Romahurmuziy is favoring Amran Sulaiman to become the candidate for PPP general chairman based on a proposal from former Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
"Several times I had discussions with Mr. Jokowi, including the one in Solo, one of the reasons why the name Mr. Amran became increasingly focused was because Mr. Jokowi knew exactly the quality and totality of Mr. Amran if given a mandate," said Rommy in an official press release received.
According to Rommy, Amran does have all the criteria needed to lead the PPP. In terms of personality, Amran is considered to have a good work ethic because he is considered successful in leading the Ministry of Agriculture in the era of Jokowi and President Prabowo Subianto.
In addition, Amran's background as a businessman is considered to be able to support PPP in terms of logistics to bring PPP forward.
