Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim is confident captain Bruno Fernandes will stay amid speculation about a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.
Fernandes started United's match against Hong Kong at the Hong Kong Stadium on Friday as they came from behind to win 3-1, with substitute Chido Obi scoring twice.
"I think he wanted to stay. He rejected a lot of things, but he chose to win. I think he is very good and he needs to be in the best league in the world," Amorim was quoted as saying on the club's official website on Friday.
Amorim admitted that he has spoken to Bruno about his situation next season, where he is confident that Bruno will wear the captain's armband again when United start the 2025/26 season.
"I spoke with him, I explained some things and I had a feeling when you speak with someone, I think you have a feeling that he wants to stay," said the Portuguese coach.
