Satria Muda Pertamina Jakarta coach Youbel Sondakh said his team must work hard to adapt with only two foreign players during the 2025 IBL.
Warren Washington's injury means the team can only rely on Randy Tyree Bell and Le'Bryan Nash in the regular season, making it a challenge for the club to continue performing well.
"This is also the time for them to show that they can step up and be ready for the next two to three games," Youbel said on the club's website in Jakarta, Tuesday.
Losing Washington has management and coaches racking their brains to address the team's needs.
"It's definitely sad, not only for the team but also for him (Washington), especially since I know he still wants to make a lot of contributions to this team," said the Indonesian basketball legend.
Washington was absent after the match against Tangerang Hawks Basketball, due to a shoulder injury two weeks ago.
