Adraee said: "A short while ago, one missile launched from Yemen was intercepted, triggering alarms in several areas across the country."
This is the second missile launched by the Yemeni Houthi group against Israel in the past 24 hours.
On Tuesday evening, the Israeli military said it intercepted a missile fired from Yemen, following sirens sounding across large areas of the country, including the greater Tel Aviv area.
On May 5, the Houthis targeted Ben Gurion Airport in central Israel with a hypersonic ballistic missile, injuring eight people and forcing millions to flee to shelters.
Israel responded by launching extensive attacks on the Yemeni capital, including Sanaa International Airport, central power stations, and a cement factory, a day after announcing the destruction of the port of Hodeidah in a series of airstrikes. The attacks resulted in seven deaths and 94 injuries, according to the Houthi group.
The Houthis are launching missiles at Israel "in support of the Palestinians in Gaza," according to their statements, and they affirm that they will continue to do so as long as Tel Aviv continues its war of extermination in the Strip.
With full American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 172,000 Palestinians dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 11,000 missing.
