Senior consultant-nephrologist at SIMS Hospital in Chennai, Dr Sathiyan S suggests some tips that parents can follow to build healthy kidneys for their children.
He suggests that parents can encourage good hydration habits from an early age in children, such as water is the best drink for children.
"Provide water that is easily accessible and get into the habit of drinking it regularly. Avoid giving too much sugary soda or packaged juice, as it can burden the kidneys over time," he said.
