Turkish Presidential Communications Director Fahrettin Altun said in a statement on Thursday that Erdogan will travel to the Albanian capital, Tirana, to participate in the summit, which is being held under the theme "A New Europe in a New World: Unity, Cooperation, and Joint Action."
Alton noted that President Erdoğan will deliver a speech at the summit's main session and will also hold bilateral meetings with a number of his European counterparts on the sidelines of the event to exchange views on the peaceful resolution of regional and international conflicts and discuss issues of security, stability, and prosperity on the European continent.
It's worth noting that the European Political Group was established in 2022 at the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron. It includes 44 countries from within and outside the European Union. It was launched in the context of escalating tensions with Russia following the outbreak of its war with Ukraine on February 24 of that year.
