Tsarukyan feels slighted by UFC's offer to fight Gamrot

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight fighter Arman Tsarukyan feels belittled by the UFC's offer to fight Mateusz Gamrot.

"This is disrespectful to me. I deserve better. I am ranked number one. I am not saying give me a title fight, but give me a number one contender fight," said Arman Tsarukyan in a report on the MMA Fighting website monitored in Jakarta, Monday.

Tsarukan is set to headline UFC 311 against lightweight champion and world number one fighter Islam Makhachev in January 2025.

However, disaster struck when a back injury forced Tsarukyan out of the bout the day before the event and according to UFC CEO Dana White the contender position is no longer Tsarukyan's.
