In a statement responding to the "Turkey Report 2023-2024," which was approved by the European Parliament's General Assembly , the Turkish Foreign Ministry said , "We categorically reject the assessments, which lack any objective basis, and are issued by a body that provides propaganda space for terrorist organizations and certain parties that have made hostility to Turkey a justification for their existence."
She added, "These assessments target the political dynamics in our country, our foreign policy, and the visit of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus."
The statement explained that Ankara hopes the European Parliament will play its role in the coming period to ensure that relations between Türkiye and the European Union continue on the basis of mutual benefit, including Ankara's accession process.
