urns to her studies at Tufts University after being detained for her support of Palestine

Ozturk arrived at Boston's Logan Airport on Saturday after a hearing in the federal court in Vermont, presided over by Judge William K. Sessions, ordered her release.

She was received at the airport by the Turkish Consul General in Boston, Halima Didem Boner, and the consulate's educational attaché, Ibrahim Segin, according to an Anadolu Agency correspondent.

At a press conference following her arrival, Ozturk expressed her gratitude to those who supported her during her detention, stressing that she had been deprived of her freedom and education for 45 days. She expressed her excitement about returning to her academic life and meeting her colleagues and professors.

On March 25, Öztürk was stopped by US authorities while heading to breakfast with friends, where she was arrested by six masked agents from the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In a statement at the time, Senator Marco Rubio announced the revocation of her student visa, accusing her of being a "Hamas supporter," as part of a campaign that included revoking the visas of more than 300 foreign students for similar reasons.

Federal Judge Denise Casper later issued an injunction halting Ozturk's deportation, amid calls from the Tufts University administration for her release. University President Sunil Kumar described her arrest as having paralyzed the university community and raised concerns about campus safety.

With the federal court's decision, Ozturk ended her six-week detention in Louisiana and returned to complete her studies.
