For its part, the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth reported that four Israelis were injured in a shooting attack at the Reihan military checkpoint. The newspaper added that two of the injured were in critical to moderate condition and were transported by military helicopter to a nearby hospital.

She added, "A large number of Israeli forces are participating in the pursuit of those who opened fire at a vehicle in the Rihan checkpoint area, while the main road in the area has been closed."

In the southern West Bank, the Israeli army said that in another incident, a person drove into the Hebron Hills area and attempted to carry out a ramming attack against an army force. He then got out of his car and attempted to stab a soldier, but was "neutralized," according to the same statement.

Channel 12 (private) reported that an Israeli was injured at the scene and was in moderate condition, and the attacker was "eliminated."

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs informed it of the "martyrdom of Abdul Fattah Ahed Ahmed Al-Haribat (20 years old) by the occupation forces' bullets near the city of Hebron."

According to eyewitnesses, Israeli forces stormed the town of Dura, south of Hebron, and raided the home of the young man, Al-Haribat, without providing further details.

For its part, Hamas said in a statement, "The heroic shooting attack that took place at the Rayhan checkpoint west of Jenin comes in response to the occupation's massacres and heinous crimes against our people in Gaza and the occupied West Bank, and against our prisoners in the occupation's prisons."

She stated, "This operation is the most eloquent response to all the occupation's attempts to extinguish the flames of resistance in the West Bank, and a new blow against the annexation and displacement plans against our land and people in Gaza, the West Bank, and Jerusalem."

The movement affirmed in the statement that "the resistance will not stop striking the occupation on every inch of our land as long as the aggression, massacres, intimidation, siege and abuse against our people continue."

In parallel with the genocide in Gaza, the Israeli occupation army and settlers escalated their attacks in the occupied West Bank, resulting in the deaths of more than 960 Palestinians, the injury of approximately 7,000 others, and the arrest of 16,400, according to Palestinian data.
