Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar said universities have a role in presenting new gaming talent and helping developers improve their abilities to develop their games.
"It is very important because it is part of talent development . If for example there is no talent, how can the game be created," said Irene when met by the media at the Game Seed 2025 Roadshow Jakarta event, at Bina Nusantara University Kemanggisan.
He said the gaming industry has promising potential with a market that is not only in Indonesia but also worldwide. He also said the gaming industry has many supporting jobs so that early talent development is needed to develop this industry.
