Digitalization is the key for MSMEs to build competitiveness





Head of the Game Implementation Team of the Ministry of Communication and Digital, Tita Ayuditya Surya, said that currently digitalization is the key to the success of micro, small, and medium enterprises in building competitiveness.

"Digitalization is no longer an option, but a necessity for MSMEs to remain relevant and competitive," Tita said as quoted in a press statement received.

Digital transformation has changed the business landscape of MSMEs in recent years.

Promotion through social media, use of e-commerce platforms, and implementation of digital payment systems now play an important role in efforts to develop MSMEs.

Tita said that digital platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, Tokopedia, and Shopee have become the main tools for MSMEs to reach consumers across regions.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital runs programs to increase the knowledge of MSMEs regarding the use of digital technology.

"Technology will drive effectiveness and business on any scale, so we encourage more digital literacy, so that it can better support MSME businesses," said Tita.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital has run the UMKM go Digital Program, and UMKM Level Up to help business actors.

This year, the Ministry is focusing on implementing programs to improve digital literacy in the community, including MSMEs.

"There are workshops , there are online promotion trainings . As a big umbrella, we are committed to encouraging the use of technology. Because technology must be inclusive. How can MSMEs use technology well," said Tita.
