PSSI General Chairman Erick Thohir asked all related parties to ensure that all matches in the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers in the Asian zone run fairly.
"I ask the AFC and both hosts to be able to ensure that all matches in the fourth round run fairly and sportingly," said Erick in a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday.
"We respect and welcome the AFC's decision to appoint Qatar and Saudi Arabia as hosts. Indeed, both countries have world-class football infrastructure, and this will certainly present an extraordinary competition atmosphere," he continued.
Six countries took part in this phase, namely Qatar, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Oman and Indonesia.
Erick emphasized that PSSI will continue to work hard to ensure that Garuda performs with the best preparation, both in terms of technical, tactical, and player mentality.
He hopes that all Indonesian football fans will continue to pray for and support the national team wherever the match takes place.
