Israel bombs a nuclear facility and military sites in Iran, and Qom police arrest 22 Mossad agents.

The Israeli military announced in a statement early this morning that "the air force has now launched a wave of attacks against missile storage and launch infrastructure in central Iran," without further details.

Fars News Agency reported that Israel targeted the Isfahan nuclear site, confirming that no dangerous materials leaked as a result.

Iranian media reported hearing explosions in Isfahan and the activation of air defense systems. They also reported the activation of Iranian air defenses in the cities of Mashhad, Bushehr, and Kermanshah.

Iranian media reported that air defense systems intercepted aerial objects in Shiraz, southwest of the country, and shot down a drone in Ilam.

Iran's Mehr News Agency reported that air defense systems intercepted small Israeli drones in the airspace of the city of Tabriz, northwestern Iran.

For his part, the spokesman for the Qom Governorate headquarters, south of the Iranian capital, Tehran, reported that two people were killed and four others were injured in an Israeli bombing that targeted the fourth floor of a building in the city of Qom, south of Tehran.

Arrest of agents

Meanwhile, Iranian police in Qom province announced the arrest of 22 people on charges of "spying for Israel."

Fars News Agency quoted the province's police intelligence chief on Saturday as saying that since the start of the Israeli strikes on June 13, "22 people have been identified and arrested on charges of links to the Zionist entity's spy agencies and disrupting public opinion."

Earlier today, Iranian police announced the arrest of two Mossad agents who were attempting to transmit the location of a senior Iranian official to target him.

The police added that the two defendants admitted to receiving $2,000 from abroad for each operation they carried out.

On Friday, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported that "a European citizen who wanted to spy on sensitive areas of the country" was arrested in southwestern Iran, without specifying his identity or the date of the arrest.

The agency added that he "headed to the country as a tourist as the Zionist regime's brutal attack began."

On Thursday, Tehran's western police chief, Kioumars Azizi, said in a statement: "Twenty-four individuals were arrested for spying for the Zionist enemy, both on the ground and online... They were trying to destabilize public opinion and distort and destroy the image of the sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

Since June 13, Israel, with US support, has been waging an aggression against Iran, targeting nuclear facilities, missile bases, military leaders, and nuclear scientists. Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles and drones deep into Israel, in the largest direct confrontation between the two sides.
