The official Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Iran had launched four barrages, including approximately 200 ballistic missiles, since the start of the escalation until Saturday afternoon, while the Israeli Home Front Command reported six barrages.
Yedioth Ahronoth quoted military sources as saying that the Iranian strike targeting Tel Aviv on Friday evening caused extensive damage to three apartments, noting that only the fortified rooms withstood the attack.
The Israeli military confirmed that it had fully activated the home front and launched a large-scale deployment, including the deployment of more than 50 rescue and relief battalions across various areas. Meanwhile, official institutions are preparing for the possibility of renewed attacks at any moment.
The security instructions circulated until further notice remain in effect. Schools have been suspended nationwide, and non-essential sectors have been called to cease operations.
In this context, the newspaper noted the activation of a new four-stage warning system. The first includes a 15-minute advance warning of a potential incoming missile; the second includes an urgent email notification 10 minutes before the threat is estimated; the third involves activating the sirens a minute and a half before the threat is declared over; and the fourth stage is announcing the end of the threat.
Since dawn on Friday, Israel, with tacit US support, launched a massive attack on Iran with dozens of fighter jets, dubbed "Operation Rising Lion." During the attack, Israel bombed nuclear facilities and missile bases in various areas, assassinating prominent military leaders and nuclear scientists.
That same evening, Iran launched an operation dubbed "True Promise 3," responding to the attack with a series of ballistic missile and drone strikes. By Saturday afternoon, the attacks had reached six waves, according to Hebrew media reports. These strikes resulted in the deaths of three Israelis and the wounding of 172 others, as well as significant material damage to buildings and vehicles.
Israeli media reported a "very serious incident" in Tel Aviv following an Iranian attack targeting a strategic site, without revealing further details due to strict military censorship and blackout regulations.
The current Israeli attack on Iran is the largest of its kind, representing a clear shift from the "shadow war" that Tel Aviv had been waging against Tehran through bombings and assassinations, to an open military conflict on a scale exceeding that witnessed in the Middle East in years.
