Israeli media reported explosions in Bat Yam, east of Tel Aviv, and in the Ben Gurion Airport area.
This news came shortly after an Israeli military spokesman said that "Iranian preparations for an imminent missile attack have been detected. Stay close to a protected area."

Hebrew media reported that approximately 70 rockets were launched from Iran and that they were expected to be headed toward Dimona and the Negev. Media outlets indicated that rocket launches from Iran were detected and that air raid sirens were expected to sound in large areas of Israel in the coming minutes.
In parallel with preparations for an attack from Iran, additional alerts were issued in the northern regions in anticipation of enemy aircraft infiltration.
