Former Indonesian national team player, Kurniawan Dwi Yulianto, confirmed that he is only focusing on League 2 club PSPS Pekanbaru, which introduced him as Technical Director.
"It's not like that anymore, because at that time I resigned when I joined the national team (U20), there was still no call for the national team," said Kurniawan when contacted via short message application, Thursday.
Kurniawan had a career at Italian club Como as a youth team coach for three years. He left the position in 2025.
The figure nicknamed Kurus then accepted an offer to become assistant coach of the U20 national team for the 2025 U20 Asian Cup.
In the championship, the Red and White team coached by Indra Sjafri failed to qualify from the group phase, after only finishing in Group C.
